As a participant in the Ladder you will try to climb your way up the ranks step by step. You do this by challenging the other participants and setting up a game at your preferred locations.

Ladder results

  • Lower ranked team defeats higher ranked team. Lower ranked team moves to spot of higher ranked team, everyone below drops 1 spot.
    (Example: #26 defeats #22. New Ranking of #26 is #22. New ranking of #22 is #23)

  • Higher ranked team defeats lower ranked team. No changes

Ladder Rules

  • A challenge is done by a challenger contacting the opponent directly or in the whatsapp group ‘Open Forum’

  • The ladder top 10 participants must play two ladder games per calender month
    (Failure to do so will result in dropping to position 11 and so on the ladder)

  • Ladder results are submitted in the ladder results whatsapp group

  • No immediate rematches are allowed. Teams must play one other team before a rematch
    (Only the first game results will be registered)

  • Games will be played on the preferred locations of the higher ranked team (or elsewhere if agreed upon by the higher ranked team)

  • You may remove and re-register your team at any time but ranking will be lost while record will remain

Game Rules

  • Best of 3 long sets (First to win 2 sets)

  • Unlimited deuces

  • Tie break is played at 6-6
    (Any other format will not be registered for the ladder)

  • Higher ranked team has priority on ball selection

  • The teams playing sides will be switched every odd game unless agreed not to by all players

  • Disagreement over a point? Re-play unless 3 of the 4 players are in agreement

  • Forfeit due to fatigue, injury, or any other reason: Team on the other side may choose to register a win by forfeit. To keep the nature of the competition friendly, not registering the result or replaying at a later date is the most suitable course of action
